YORBA LINDA POP WARNER CHEER

Cheerleading was officially recognized in the 1970's but has been part of Pop Warner for several decades. Our Yorba Linda Pop Warner cheer program is one of the best programs in California.  Our cheer teams have proudly represented Yorba Linda in multiple regional, state, and national competitions.  Our cheer program is more than just pom poms and bows, we cheer, tumble, and take flight, and always represent the Blue, Black and White!!


TRAVEL TEAM CHEER 

  • Available Mitey Mite and above
  • Level 2 and above
  • ​Travel includes Saturday football games, OEC, Regional, National and JAMZ competitions as well as other competitions the head coach requires


SIDELINE TEAM CHEER 

  • ​​​Sideline requires participation in all Saturday football games and playoffs, OEC and regional competitions. (Locations may vary)

SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY

Yorba Linda Pop Warner cheer coaches are required to go through several training processes prior to the season starting.  

  • JAMZ Safety Training - In person training required by all cheer staff
  • CDC Concussion Training- Certificate of completion required
  • CPR and 1st aid is required for all head coaches plus 1 other staff member per team
  • Mandatory association and conference, in person meetings to go over safety protocol and rules
  • Annual background check is required by all staff volunteers 
  • YCADA - Certificate of completion required
